Wedding Services Melbourne Industry Night 2026 – An Incredible Evening at Lillypad

On Monday 14 September 2026, Lillypad Flowers & Events had the absolute pleasure of hosting Wedding Services Melbourne's Industry Night at our Preston warehouse, and what an incredible evening it was!

What started as an idea to bring Melbourne's wedding industry together for a night of networking, inspiration and celebration grew into something truly special, with over 175 wedding vendors, sponsors and industry professionals joining us throughout the evening.

For everyone at Lillypad, opening our doors to the wedding industry is always a privilege. Our warehouse is usually filled with flowers, wedding installations and the daily activity of preparing for celebrations across Melbourne. To transform it into a vibrant industry event filled with laughter, music, food and creativity was incredibly rewarding.

Bringing Melbourne's Wedding Industry Together

As owners of Lillypad Flowers and committee members of Wedding Services Melbourne (WSM) we are passionate about connecting with wedding professionals and creating opportunities for businesses within our industry to support one another.

The Industry Night was designed to do exactly that.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, new businesses and talented wedding professionals all in one place. From florists and venues to photographers, entertainers, caterers, stylists and wedding specialists, the evening showcased just how diverse and talented Melbourne's wedding industry really is.

With over 150 vendors attending, there was a fantastic energy throughout the warehouse. Conversations continued well into the evening, new connections were made and plenty of ideas were exchanged.

For us, that is what these events are all about, creating a stronger, more connected wedding industry.

An Evening Filled with Incredible Wedding Vendors

We were incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing group of businesses contributing to the evening.

At Lillypad, we created the floral installations and venue styling, transforming our warehouse into a beautiful and welcoming event space.

Guests enjoyed delicious canapés from Hot Coals Catering, while the grazing table from Grazelnut Melbourne provided an impressive display for everyone to enjoy.

The evening was captured beautifully by Allie Claire Creative, while Matt Jefferies Entertainment kept guests entertained with their photobooth.

Entertainment was a major highlight, with live music from Jay Ess Events,

DJ and MC services from Entertainment First,

magic tricks by Mark Mayer Official,

and incredible belly dance and fire performances from Mystica Fay.

There was something happening throughout the evening, and the atmosphere was nothing short of fantastic.

A Celebration of Creativity and Collaboration

One of the things we love most about the wedding industry is the creativity that exists across every business.

From beautifully styled tables by Losai Events and beautiful wall drapery, cocktail tables and chairs from MUX Events, to personalised signage by Personally Invited, every detail helped create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Guests could also enjoy delicious offerings from Cocoa & Crumbs, Melbourne Cake Studio and Atelier Berry, including a beautiful cake station, dessert station and impressive fruit tower.

The Trotting Tavern 23 brought their cocktail expertise to the evening, while Antipodes Gin provided gin cocktails that proved very popular throughout the night.

We were also thrilled to showcase the talents of Studio Jiham, whose wedding illustration services offered guests a unique and creative perspective on capturing special moments.

WSM was established to support and connect wedding businesses across Melbourne, and nights like this demonstrate the importance of having a strong industry community.

The wedding industry can be incredibly busy, and often we spend our working lives focused on our own businesses, clients and events. Taking the time to step away, meet others and build relationships is invaluable.

The success of this Industry Night has reinforced just how much enthusiasm there is within Melbourne's wedding community to connect, collaborate and support one another.
