A Night We Won’t Forget at Wedding Services Melbourne Industry Night 2025
As wedding suppliers, we spend so much of our time behind the scenes — creating beautiful flowers, coordinating weddings, answering enquiries and helping couples bring their ideas to life.
So, there is something incredibly special about putting all of that aside for one evening and simply getting together with the people who make up our wonderful Melbourne wedding industry.
On Tuesday 16 September 2025, Wedding Services Melbourne held its Industry Night, and what a night it was!

From the moment guests arrived, the room was buzzing. There was laughter coming from every corner, old friends catching up, new connections being made and plenty of conversations about weddings, business and everything in between. With more than 120 wedding professionals attending, it was an incredible reminder of just how passionate, talented and supportive Melbourne's wedding industry really is.
Bringing Melbourne’s Wedding Industry Together
At Lillypad Flowers, we are lucky enough to work alongside so many incredible wedding vendors throughout Melbourne and Victoria.
We see many of them regularly at weddings, but usually everyone is busy doing their own job, the photographer is capturing the couple, the celebrant is preparing for the ceremony, the venue team is coordinating the day and we are busy making sure every flower is exactly where it needs to be.

Industry events give us the chance to actually stop, have a chat and get to know the people behind the businesses.
And that's what made this night so enjoyable.
There was no pressure, no wedding day timeline and no rushing from one setup to another. Wedding Services Melbourne put together an incredible night full of passionate wedding professionals to celebrate the industry we all love.

More Than 120 Wedding Professionals Under One Roof
The turnout was absolutely incredible.
More than 120 wedding professionals joined us for the evening, representing so many different areas of the wedding industry.
From wedding venues and photographers to florists, celebrants, entertainers, transport companies, stylists and other wedding specialists, the diversity of businesses in the room was fantastic.

For us, this is what Wedding Services Melbourne is all about.
It's about creating a community where businesses can meet, share ideas, recommend one another and build genuine relationships.
The wedding industry works best when we work together.
And seeing so many people connecting throughout the evening was a wonderful reminder of that.

Great Food, Cocktails & Plenty of Conversation
Of course, no industry night is complete without great food and drinks!
Hot Coals Catering kept everyone well fed with delicious finger food throughout the evening, while The Trotting Tavern helped create the perfect atmosphere with cocktails for guests to enjoy.
And let's be honest — good food and drinks have a way of getting conversations started!
Guests moved around the room, catching up with familiar faces and introducing themselves to new members, with plenty of laughter and stories being shared along the way.

Wedding Transport That Turned Heads
There were also some seriously impressive wedding transport options on display.
Guests had the opportunity to see beautiful luxury vehicles, including a Rolls Royce and Ferrari limousine, along with the impressive offerings from Zeus Limousines.
For something a little different, South Side Bike Hire brought motorcycles to the event, showing just how many creative options couples have when it comes to making their wedding transport part of their day.
It's always inspiring to see suppliers bringing something unique to the wedding industry.

Flowers, Styling & Beautiful Details
Being florists, one of our favourite parts of the evening was, of course, helping with the floral styling!
At Lillypad Flowers, we were thrilled to contribute flowers to the event and help bring some colour and personality into the space.

MUX Events also helped transform the venue with backdrop curtains, cocktail tables and chairs, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for guests to mingle.
For us, event styling is always about those little details that change how a room feels.
We loved seeing the flowers, furniture, backdrop and entertainment all come together to create an atmosphere that felt celebratory without being overly formal.

Entertainment That Kept the Night Moving
The entertainment throughout the evening helped keep the energy high.
The talented team from Jay Ess Events brought live acoustic music to the event, creating the perfect soundtrack for the early part of the evening.
As the night progressed, the entertainment continued with MC and DJ entertainment from Entertainment First, keeping everyone in the mood to enjoy themselves.
There was definitely no shortage of energy in the room!

Capturing the Memories
One of the great things about an event like this is knowing there will be photographs and videos to look back on afterwards.
Allie Claire Creative captured the evening beautifully, documenting the people, conversations and atmosphere that made the event so special.

Guests were also able to have some fun with the photo booth supplied by Matt Jefferies Entertainment, giving everyone the chance to create their own memories from the night.
Aerial footage from Dolce Vita Photography added another perspective, capturing the scale and atmosphere of the evening.
Celebrating the People Behind Melbourne Weddings
For us at Lillypad Flowers, the most important part of the evening wasn't necessarily the food, flowers or entertainment.
It was the people.
Every wedding is made up of dozens of moving parts, and behind every successful wedding is a team of businesses and individuals working incredibly hard to make it happen.

We know firsthand how much goes on behind the scenes.
That's why nights like this matter.
They give us the opportunity to recognise the people who make up the industry, celebrate everyone's achievements and build relationships that can continue long after the event has finished.
Stronger Together as a Wedding Industry
One of the things we love about Wedding Services Melbourne is the emphasis on collaboration rather than competition.
There is room for everyone in our industry, and there is so much value in sharing knowledge, recommending great suppliers and supporting other local wedding businesses.
When a photographer recommends a florist they trust, when a venue introduces a couple to a celebrant, or when suppliers collaborate to create something incredible for a wedding, the couple ultimately benefits.
That's what makes a strong wedding industry.
It's not just about individual businesses, it's about the relationships between them.

Thank You to Everyone Who Made the Night Possible
An event like this doesn't happen without an incredible team of contributors and sponsors.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make Wedding Services Melbourne Industry Night 2025 such a memorable evening.
A special thank you to Hot Coals Catering, The Trotting Tavern, Zeus Limousines, South Side Bike Hire, Jay Ess Events, Allie Claire Creative, MUX Events, Dolce Vita Photography and Wedding & Bride.
And from us at Lillypad Flowers, we were incredibly proud to host the event here in Preston.
Until the Next Industry Night
Looking back, the biggest feeling we took away from the evening was gratitude.
Gratitude for the incredible people we get to work alongside, for the businesses that continue to support one another and for the wonderful Melbourne wedding industry community that continues to grow.
More than 120 people in one room, all connected by a shared passion for weddings, creativity and creating unforgettable experiences for couples.
There was plenty of networking, lots of laughter and a whole lot of inspiration.
From all of us at Lillypad Flowers, thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, sponsored and helped make Wedding Services Melbourne Industry Night 2025 such a fantastic night.
We can't wait to do it all again.
