Helene & Matt's Dream Spring Wedding at Stones of the Yarra Valley
There are some weddings that instantly capture your heart, and Helene and Matt's beautiful October celebration at Stones of the Yarra Valley was certainly one of them.
Set amongst the rolling vineyards and breathtaking landscapes of the Yarra Valley, their wedding was the perfect reflection of timeless elegance, natural beauty, and thoughtful design. As a Melbourne wedding florist, we are fortunate to create flowers for many stunning weddings, but this one felt particularly special. Every floral detail was carefully chosen to enhance the venue's incredible surroundings while perfectly complementing the bridal party and overall wedding aesthetic.

A Timeless White and Green Wedding Colour Palette
When we first met with Helene, she had a clear vision for her wedding flowers. She wanted a sophisticated white and green colour palette that would beautifully complement the bridal party while allowing the natural beauty of Stones of the Yarra Valley to shine.
White wedding flowers never go out of style, and when paired with lush seasonal greenery, they create a look that feels both luxurious and effortlessly romantic.
For Helene's wedding flowers, we selected an exquisite collection of seasonal blooms including:
- Snowball Viburnum
- Reflexed Roses
- Phalaenopsis Orchids
- Calla Lilies
- Baby's Breath
- Sweet Pea
- Geraldton Wax
- Azalea
- Italian Ruscus
- Soft Grass Plumes
Together, these flowers created a dreamy spring garden-inspired look filled with texture, softness, and movement.

Romantic Ceremony Flowers at Stones of the Yarra Valley
One of our favourite aspects of designing wedding flowers for Stones of the Yarra Valley is working with the venue's naturally beautiful setting.
Surrounded by vineyards, gardens, and breathtaking Yarra Valley views, the ceremony space requires florals that enhance rather than overpower the landscape.
For Helene and Matt's ceremony, we created elegant floral arrangements featuring cascading phalaenopsis orchids, delicate sweet pea, graceful calla lilies, fluffy baby's breath, and lush snowballs.
Trailing Italian ruscus and soft grass plumes added movement throughout the designs, creating the illusion that the flowers were gently fluttering in the spring breeze.
The result was romantic, sophisticated, and perfectly in harmony with the surrounding Yarra Valley scenery.

A Stunning Bridal Bouquet Filled with Movement and Texture
Helene's bouquet embodied everything she had envisioned for her wedding day.
Soft, flowing, and abundant with seasonal blooms, it featured layers of reflexed roses, elegant phalaenopsis orchids, calla lilies, sweet pea, snowballs, baby's breath, Geraldton wax, and fresh greenery.
One of the most beautiful aspects of the bouquet was the movement we achieved through carefully placed trailing phalaenopsis orchids and sweet peas.
These details gave the bouquet a natural, organic feel while still maintaining a refined and luxurious appearance.
Watching Helene walk through the stunning grounds of Stones of the Yarra Valley carrying her bouquet was truly magical.

Elegant Reception Flowers for Stones of The Yarra Valley
The reception styling continued the romantic white and green theme, seamlessly flowing from ceremony to celebration.
For the guest tables, we designed low-lying ceramic vase arrangements filled with:
- Reflexed Roses
- Snowball Viburnum
- Baby's Breath
- Grass Plumes
- Seasonal Greenery
These centrepieces were intentionally designed to encourage conversation while creating visual impact throughout the reception space.
The low ceramic vessels added a contemporary touch, while the soft florals brought warmth and elegance to the tables.
The combination of textures created depth and interest from every angle, making each arrangement feel lush and abundant without overwhelming the space.
As guests entered the reception, they were welcomed by a sea of soft white blooms that perfectly reflected the romance of the day.
