A Beautiful Spring Wedding at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill
We absolutely loved being part of Georgia and Hayk’s beautiful wedding at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill.

There are some weddings where you can feel the personality of the couple in every little detail, and Georgia and Hayk’s day was certainly one of them. From the beautiful setting on the Mornington Peninsula to the soft spring colour palette, Greek Orthodox ceremony and incredible entertainment, the entire celebration felt warm, joyful and full of personality.
For us at Lillypad Flowers, it was especially exciting because Georgia came to us with a very clear floral dream - hydrangeas.
And we were determined to make that dream happen.

Georgia’s Dream Hydrangea Bridal Bouquet
Georgia had always imagined herself carrying a white hydrangea bridal bouquet, and she knew from the beginning that this was the flower she wanted.
Hydrangeas are absolutely gorgeous in bridal bouquets, but they can be a little challenging, particularly when temperatures start to rise. They are a flower that needs plenty of care, preparation and attention, especially when they are going to be carried throughout a wedding day.
We did have some concerns about the conditions, but when a bride has a flower that she has dreamed about carrying down the aisle, we don't want to simply say no.

Instead, we worked carefully behind the scenes to make it happen.
Georgia carried a beautiful bouquet filled with white hydrangeas, creating a soft, romantic and elegant look that suited her perfectly.
There was something particularly special about seeing the bouquet she had imagined become a reality.
Pastel Blue Hydrangea Bridesmaid Bouquets
For the bridesmaids, we continued the hydrangea theme but introduced a beautiful pastel blue colour palette.
The soft blue hydrangeas were chosen specifically to complement the bridesmaids’ gorgeous soft lemon dresses.
We absolutely loved this combination.

The pastel blue and lemon worked beautifully together, creating a fresh spring wedding colour palette without feeling overly bright or traditional. It was soft, happy and romantic, and the colours looked particularly beautiful against the natural surroundings of Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill.
The bridesmaid bouquets also helped create a lovely connection between the bridal party, with Georgia's white hydrangeas giving her bouquet its own distinction while the pastel blue hydrangeas gave the bridesmaids something complementary.

Spring Wedding Flowers in Soft Pastel Colours
Once we had established the hydrangeas as an important part of the floral design, we carried that feeling throughout the rest of the wedding.
Georgia and Hayk’s flowers incorporated a beautiful mix of lilac, pastel blue, pink, peach, lemon and white.

The combination felt perfectly suited to a spring wedding on the Mornington Peninsula.
Rather than creating every arrangement from exactly the same flowers, we used a combination of fresh and silk flowers to create the scale, colour and longevity required for the different installations throughout the venue.
This allowed us to create floral features that felt abundant and cohesive while also making practical sense for a wedding day.

Coordinating the Guest Table Centrepieces
One of the things we love most about wedding floristry is taking one idea and developing it throughout an entire venue.
For Georgia and Hayk, the hydrangeas weren't just reserved for the bridal party.
We incorporated pastel blue hydrangeas into the guest table centrepieces, bringing the same soft colour palette from the ceremony and bridal party through to the reception.
The arrangements were designed to feel romantic and inviting while still allowing guests to comfortably sit and enjoy the celebration.
The combination of fresh and silk flowers also gave us the flexibility to create fuller arrangements and introduce the beautiful spring colours of lilac, blue, pink, peach, lemon and white.

A Beautiful Bridal Table Floral Design
The bridal table was another important part of the overall floral styling.
We wanted the flowers to feel connected to Georgia's bouquet and the guest tables, while still giving the bridal table a little more impact.
The pastel hydrangeas helped create that connection, while the broader mix of soft spring colours added depth and interest.
When we design flowers for a wedding, we always think about how the individual pieces will look together in photographs.

The bridal bouquet, table flowers, larger installations and smaller floral details shouldn't feel like separate ideas. They should tell one story.
For Georgia and Hayk, that story was soft, colourful, romantic and very much spring.

The Hanging Floral Installation
One of the standout features was the hanging floral installation, which brought the floral styling up and into the space.
This was a beautiful opportunity to use the same colour palette in a completely different way.

The hanging installation incorporated the soft pastel tones of blue, lilac, pink, peach, lemon and white, creating a romantic floral feature that added dimension and atmosphere to the reception.
We particularly loved how the hanging flowers changed the feeling of the room.
Floral installations like this can completely transform a reception space. Rather than only decorating tables, flowers can be used to draw the eye upwards and create a much more immersive floral experience.
Making Georgia’s Hydrangea Vision Happen
One of the biggest things we will remember about this wedding is Georgia's determination to have her hydrangeas.
As florists, we have to consider many practical things when selecting wedding flowers - the season, weather, availability, transportation and how flowers will perform throughout a long wedding day.
But flowers are also emotional.
Sometimes a particular flower isn't simply a flower to a bride. It is part of the picture she has had in her head for years.

Georgia's hydrangea bouquet was one of those moments.
We were so happy that we could work with her vision, carefully prepare the flowers and create the bouquet she had always wanted.
That is one of our favourite parts of being a wedding florist — finding a way to make the beautiful ideas in a couple's head become something they can actually hold, see and experience on their wedding day.
Greek Wedding Traditions and a Wonderful Celebration
Georgia and Hayk's celebration was filled with beautiful Greek influences, beginning with their Greek Orthodox ceremony and continuing throughout the reception.

The entertainment was a huge part of the atmosphere, with DJ Thomas Nicolopoulos, bouzouki entertainment from Antonis Pistikakis, cocktail hour music from Chico & Adil, and Cypriot Style Entertainment bringing even more energy to the celebration.
It created the kind of wedding atmosphere that felt genuinely joyful - the sort of celebration where the flowers are just one part of a much bigger story.

A Talented Team Behind the Day
We were lucky to work alongside an incredible group of wedding professionals who helped bring Georgia and Hayk's day together.

Their beautiful gown was by Jane Hill Bridal, while Hayk wore a suit from M.J. Bale. The groomsmen were dressed by Mason Gray Menswear.

The beautiful wedding cake was created by Nikos Cakes, an established Melbourne cake studio known for its wedding and celebration cakes.

Photography was captured by Josephine Lee Photography, whose documentary-style approach beautifully captures natural and emotional wedding moments.
The wedding film was created by Wildbird Films, with Ben Jones behind the camera.
The entertainment team included DJ Thomas Nicolopoulos, Antonis Pistikakis, Chico & Adil and Cypriot Style Entertainment.
Hair was styled by Kelly Xu Hair Design, with makeup by Ashleigh Evans MUA.
The beautiful celebration took place at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill, a stunning Mornington Peninsula wedding venue surrounded by the natural beauty of Red Hill.

Why We Love Personal Wedding Flowers
For us, the most successful wedding flowers aren't necessarily the biggest or most expensive.
They're the flowers that mean something to the couple.
For Georgia, it was hydrangeas.
That one flower became the starting point for an entire floral story — white hydrangeas for the bride, pastel blue hydrangeas for the bridesmaids, and a beautiful mix of soft spring colours flowing through the reception.
It is those personal details that make wedding flowers memorable.
