Bianca & Alec’s Timeless Emu Bottom Homestead Wedding in Sunbury

A Romantic Celebration Filled With Heartfelt Details

Some weddings stay with you long after the flowers have been packed down, and Bianca and Alec’s wedding was exactly that kind of celebration. From the very beginning, we knew their day would be something truly special, thoughtful, romantic, and deeply personal in every way.

As florists, there’s nothing more meaningful than helping bring a couple’s story to life through flowers, and Bianca and Alec trusted us to do exactly that.

Their love story began in the most unexpected way, meeting at a Saturday morning bootcamp before running into each other again later that same day. What started as a simple connection slowly grew into a beautiful relationship built on friendship, love, and intention. When Alec proposed during a romantic New Year’s Eve picnic in Mornington, complete with a heartfelt scrapbook documenting their journey together, it perfectly reflected the kind of love they share: genuine, sentimental, and full of care.

Creating a Timeless Floral Vision

When Bianca came to us with her vision, she described wanting the day to feel whimsical, minimal, and timeless. She wasn’t drawn to passing trends or overly elaborate styling,  instead, she wanted florals that would still feel elegant and beautiful decades from now.

We instantly connected with her vision.

To bring it to life, we designed a soft and romantic floral palette featuring pure crisp whites. Baby’s breath played a central role throughout the styling, adding softness, texture, and an airy romantic feel that complemented the overall aesthetic beautifully. White reflex roses added a timeless sophistication while still feeling modern and refined.

The overall floral design was intentionally understated yet impactful, enhancing the space without overpowering it.

Floral Styling at Emu Bottom Homestead

Set against the stunning backdrop of Emu Bottom Homestead, every floral detail felt perfectly at home within the venue’s natural charm and historic beauty.

We wanted the florals to work harmoniously with the surroundings, allowing the venue itself to shine while layering in softness and romance through the arrangements. The ceremony florals created a dreamy atmosphere without feeling excessive, while the reception styling focused on effortless elegance and warmth.

One of the most emotional details from the day was Bianca’s bouquet, which carried her father’s boutonnière. It was such a beautiful and deeply personal touch, a reminder that flowers often become part of the memories and emotions tied to a wedding day, not just the styling itself.

These are the moments we treasure most as florists.

A Day Filled With Meaningful Moments

Watching everything come together on the wedding day was incredibly special. From the bridal party florals to the ceremony styling and reception details, every element felt cohesive and authentic to Bianca and Alec as a couple.

Their ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, with personal vows and minimal traditions allowing the emotion of the moment to truly shine. As Bianca walked down the aisle, glowing with happiness, you could feel the love surrounding them.

The reception carried that same effortless energy, warm, joyful, and elegant without trying too hard. Soft candlelight, romantic florals, heartfelt speeches, and the unmistakable excitement of celebrating alongside family and friends created such a beautiful atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the evening was their first dance to a romantic cover of Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” accompanied by the smooth sounds of live saxophone music. It was magical, emotional, and completely reflective of who they are together.

A Wedding We’ll Never Forget

What made Bianca and Alec’s wedding truly unforgettable wasn’t just the beautiful styling or breathtaking venue — it was the emotion behind every detail. From honouring loved ones to celebrating their journey as a family with their son, every moment felt intentional and filled with love.

Bianca and Alec, thank you for trusting us to tell your story through flowers. Being part of such a meaningful celebration was an absolute honour, and a wedding we’ll never forget.
