Located in Preston, Melbourne, Lillypad Flowers is a busy retail florist, online flower delivery business, wedding florist and event flower specialist. For more than 25 years, we've been creating beautiful floral designs while fostering a supportive, friendly and creative workplace.

Current Opportunities

Casual Florist (Available)

We're seeking an experienced florist with a strong design background and confidence across all aspects of floristry, including weddings and events.

You'll be involved in:

• Creating bespoke flower arrangements and bouquets
• Event flower preparation and design
• Wedding and event setup and pack down
• Customer service

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years floristry design experience
• Certificate III in Floristry
• Event floristry experience
• Driver's licence preferred
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Pay: Above Award, based on experience.

Floristry Work Experience Students

Thinking about a future in floristry?

We proudly support floristry students from Melbourne Polytechnic, Holmesglen, Bloom College, Marjorie Milner College and other training providers.

Unlike many placements, we focus on giving students genuine hands-on experience. Our goal is for you to learn, create and gain confidence while working alongside experienced florists.

You may assist with:

• Flower preparation and conditioning
• Bouquet and arrangement production
• Wedding and event flower preparation
• Visual merchandising
• Product displays
• Stock management

This is an excellent opportunity to experience real-world floristry in a busy Melbourne flower business.

Work Experience Students – Administration & Office Support

Ideal for Year 10–12 Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) students interested in business administration, eCommerce or office support.

You'll gain experience in:

• Data entry
• Document preparation
• Website content updates
• Office administration
• Inventory and stock management

This role provides valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of a successful Melbourne florist.

Future Florist Opportunities

While we don't currently have Full Time or Part Time Florist positions available, we welcome expressions of interest from talented florists who would like to be considered for future opportunities.

Seasonal Flower Delivery Drivers

Throughout busy seasonal periods including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas, we occasionally require additional delivery drivers.

If you enjoy customer service and helping deliver special moments to customers throughout Melbourne, we'd love to hear from you.

Drivers should have:

• A current driver's licence
• Reliable vehicle
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management
• Friendly and professional presentation
